Private Lessons

I offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced private lessons on the oboe year-round. I offer half-hour and hour long private lessons, and I also offer reeds to my beginning and intermediate students. Reach out to me directly to discuss rates.  

For beginners, lessons will focus on learning to read music and produce a good sound on the oboe. Skills will include correct playing position, fingerings, sense of rhythm, proper air support, and musical sensitivity. Intermediate and advanced students will continue to strengthen skills that they have already learned, especially musical sensitivity, while they learn new skills like the basics of reed making.
